Art manoeuvres (Sheelagh Broderick & Michael Holly) are hosting a 2 day innovative interdisciplinary workshop in game design and play methodologies at Uillinn West Cork Arts Centre. The workshop will be led by James Harper who has developed specialist interdisciplinary expertise at the intersection between theatre, participatory arts and creative pedagogy. The objective of the workshop is to develop professional artist capacity in collaborative practice and public engagement through inclusive, accessible, creative and cost effective participatory arts activities.

This professional development training brings novel methodologies to collaborative/participatory arts practice. Artists participants will develop competencies in game design and play through a creative experiential learning process. This workshop will be of interest to artists working in participatory contexts e.g. health, disability, cultural diversity, youth and artists who wish to develop skills of public engagement.

James Harper is an award winning theatre practitioner with a cross art form practice focused on high quality participatory game design and play experiences.
